Illinois Specification Updates

Dear Provider or Vendor,

We wanted to share some important updates for Illinois providers regarding caregiver data and visit submissions. Please take a moment to review the changes below.

What’s Changing in Illinois:

  • Caregiver SSN: The state of Illinois now requires the full, accurate 9-digit Social Security Number for each caregiver. Make sure this is entered correctly to avoid issues with submissions.

  • Professional License Number: This field is now optional. You can include it if you have it, but it’s not required.

  • Office Qualifier: You can remove the UMPI from your submissions – it’s no longer needed.

For full details, review the Illinois - Updated Caregiver Data Structure and EVV Request Data Structure Descriptions in our May Releases Notes.

These updates are essential for ensuring compliance with state requirements and avoiding any disruptions in service delivery or data processing. Please review your processes to ensure they align with the new standards.

We appreciate your continued partnership and commitment to providing high-quality care across Illinois.

Best Regards,

The HHAeXchange Team
