In honor of National Homecare & Hospice Month, HHAeXchange put out a call for agencies to nominate a caregiver who goes above and beyond in their role. ✨ PAYER UPDATES

Service gap visibility

  • Get more real-time visibility into service gaps. Configure alerts when an active member has no confirmed visits for X consecutive days, X days after placement start, or X days after an authorization start date.

  • See more complete Missed Visit details. Alerts now show all missed visits that triggered the alert, and you can opt into notifications for recurring missed visits.

Smarter workflows for real-world scenarios

  • To improve workflows and help prevent authorization import rejections, split patient automation now supports blended services across two offices in the same provider portal, even if the payer patient is discharged.

  • Streamline communication through a configurable provider communication option to request additional authorization hours for guardrails directly from the authorization screen.

Better payer-provider coordination

  • Reduce back-and-forth with improved sync. Providers now receive authorizations and authorization notes at the same time.

  • Keep provider portals current with insurance data sync from the payer portal.

✨ PROVIDER UPDATES

Faster billing and fewer delays

  • Automate invoice generation and claim batching on a schedule. This works well for overnight runs and high-volume billing.

  • Group invoices by week + month for clearer billing periods at month-end.

  • Resolve issues faster with full claim rejection reasons shown directly on the Invoice Visit page.

Authorizations and guardrails

  • Add Program Codes to internal authorizations to ensure the correct program is communicated to the state aggregator.

  • Uniform Allocation (Hours) allows providers to evenly distribute authorized hours across periods for improved planning and overage prevention.

Visit Maintenance as a central hub

  • Manage all visit maintenance tasks: scheduling, tracking, exception handling, and pre-billing all in one place.

Eligibility visibility

  • View linked contract eligibility on patient profile page, including insurance plan date ranges for quick coverage checks.

Compliance and visibility

  • Find consolidated exception reporting in the new EVV Compliance Reports section, built to make compliance tracking easier.
