Dear Provider Agency,
On behalf of the Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM), we are excited to share that we have partnered with FEI Systems (FEI) and HHAeXchange (HHAX) to implement an upgraded Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system.
The new system will ensure compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act while allowing for greater visibility, transparency, monitoring of network performance and ensuring quality member services and care. DOM and the FEI/HHAX team are committed to implementing this system upgrade to include additional provider flexibility and eliminating processes that result in unnecessary provider and/or member challenges.
As part of this agreement, provider agencies will have access to the new, complimentary EVV Portal, supporting a simplified, user-friendly, and seamless experience. The new EVV Portal is expected to go live on August 1, 2023.
There are a few steps noted below for waiver providers that must be completed to ensure you are set up well in advance of the go live date. Onboarding for State Plan, Private Duty Nursing/Personal Care, and Home Health providers will occur in the months following go live.
Please note that the transition from MediKey to the new EVV system occurs on August 1, 2023, for waiver providers. This will result in all providers no longer being able to access the MediKey system effective 11:59 PM Central on July 31, 2023.
Actions Needed:
1. Complete the Mississippi Medicaid - Provider Set Up Form (For Waiver and State Plan Personal Care and Home Health providers)
2. Register today for an EVV Information Session (for Waiver Providers ONLY)
After you’ve completed the “Mississippi Medicaid - Provider Set Up Form”, the project team will provide resources to prepare for the EVV Portal Go Live date, including training, documentation, and more.
While State Plan Personal Care and Home Health providers will not be going live on August 1, DOM encourages those providers to also go ahead and complete the survey now so that we can communicate with you about future implementation dates.
