Getting Started Checklist

Review the Illinois Technical Specifications with your vendor. All vendors must adhere to these specifications. When your vendor acknowledges that they can meet the requirements, please move to the next step.

The Third-Party Attestation requests that you and your vendor can adhere to the specifications. Once the attestation is submitted, a ticket is created on your behalf with the HHAeXchange EDI Support Team to kick-off the integration process.

In the ticket created for you, HHAeXchange will share the test credentials with you, which you will then share with your vendor contact. HHAeXchange will also provide testing scenarios for your vendor to complete. For most vendors, if they have already completed testing before with another agency, HHAeXchange will automatically skip this step, and you will move to step 5. However, if your vendor is Epic, each agency must test individually.

Create a new ticket with the Provider EDI Integrations team once your vendor has completed testing. HHAeXchange will validate that all scenarios were tested correctly and then move you on to the next step.

HHAeXchange will complete configuration to allow your portal to begin processing production data. When the configuration is completed, a Client ID and Secret (similar to a username and password) will be provided to you securely via e-mail. Please share this information with your vendor, so they can begin sending your data to HHAeXchange.

Log in to your HHAeXchange portal to verify that your data is being transmitted from your Alternate EVV System to the Aggregator successfully. For information on how to use the portal, visit HHAeXchange University. You can self-register and watch videos at your own pace about how to use the system.
